DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE MINISTER  RESPONSIBLE  FOR ROAD

TRAFFIC UNDER REGULATION 88 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS, 1984

  1. These directions may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motoring Club Barbados, Inc.) Directions, 2023.
  • The following roads will be closed during the specified period:

On Saturday October 21, 2023

(a) Between the hours of 2.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. in the parishes of Saint Peter and Saint Lucy, the section of road known as Oxford Road, commencing from the junction with Luke Hill (Charles Duncan O’Neal Highway), proceeding in a north easterly direction on the said Oxford Road, continuing in an easterly direction on Mount Gay Road, proceeding in a north westerly direction on Cottage Road and finishing at the junction with Pickering road

  • Any person who contravenes these directions or fails to comply with the orders given by a member of the Barbados Police Service in uniform, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500.00 or imprisonment for a term of six (6) months.
  • These rules do not apply to vehicles used by the Barbados Police Service, the Fire Service or any Ambulance Service.

TRAFFIC UNDER REGULATION 88 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS, 1984

  1. These directions may be cited as the Road Traffic (Barbados Rally Club, “BRC Winter Rally”) Directions, 2023.
  • The following roads will be closed during the specified period:

On Sunday October 22, 2023

  • Between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. in the parishes of Saint Joseph and Saint John, the section of road known as Bowling Alley Hill Road, commencing from the junction with Highway 3, proceeding in easterly direction onto Easy Hall road, continuing in a south westerly direction on Wilson Hill, proceeding south easterly on Wakefield Tenantry Road and finishing at the junction with Tappy Pond and Highway 3B.
  • Between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. in the parish of Saint John, the section of road known as Society Main Road, commencing from the junction with Highway H, proceeding in a westerly direction on Colleton Road, continuing in a southerly direction on Moores Road, proceeding westerly on Cherry Grove Road and finishing on the said Cherry Grove Road.
  • Any person who contravenes these directions or fails to comply with the orders given by a member of the Barbados Police Service in uniform, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500.00 or imprisonment for a term of six (6) months.
