DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE MINISTER RESPONSIBLE FOR ROAD

TRAFFIC UNDER REGULATION 88 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS, 1984

  1. These directions may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motoring Club Barbados Inc.) Directions, 2024.
  • The following roads will be closed during the specified period:

On Sunday October 20, 2024

  • Between the hours of 11:00 am and 5:00 pm in the parishes of Saint John and Saint Joseph, the section of road known as Tappy Pond road, commencing from its junction with Claybury and Redland roads, proceeding in a northerly direction along the said Tappy Pond road, continuing in a northerly direction on Claybury road, proceeding in an easterly direction on Wilson Hill road, continuing in a northerly direction on Easy Hall road, proceeding in a north easterly direction on Cotton Tower road and finishing at the junction with Blackman’s road.

On Sunday November 10, 2024

  • Between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm in the parishes of Saint Philip and Saint John, the section of road known as Mapps road, commencing from the junction with Bayleys road, proceeding in a northerly direction on the said Bayleys road, proceeding in a north westerly direction pass Three Houses Park and Thickets roads, continuing westerly on Stewart Hill road and finishing at the junction with Massiah Street road.
  • Any person who contravenes these directions or fail to comply with the orders given by a member of the Barbados Police Service in uniform, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500.00 or imprisonment for a term of six (6) months.
  • These rules do not apply to vehicles used by the Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Fire Service or any Ambulance Service.
