ELECTION OF PRESIDENT NOTICE, 2021

The Speaker, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 14(8) of the Constitution (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 2021, gives the following Notice:

  1. This Notice may be cited as the Election of President Notice, 2021.
  2. The Hon. Miss Mia Amor Mottley, Q.C. M.P., Prime Minister, andBishop the Hon. Joseph J.S. Atherley, J.P. M.P., Leader of the Opposition, have jointly nominated Her Excellency Dame Sandra Prunella Mason, GCMG, D.A.,Q.C. for election to the office of President of Barbados.
  3. The election will take place at a joint meeting of both Houses on the20th day of October, 2021 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill in the parish of Saint Michael.
