Our opinion
In our opinion, the accompanying summary consolidated financial statements of Island Heritage Insurance Company, Ltd. (the Company) are consistent, in all material respects, with the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements, in accordance with section 39 of the Barbados Insurance Act and, as described in Note 1, have been translated into the reporting currency of Barbados Dollars from United States of America Dollars at a fixed exchange rate of 2:1.
The summary consolidated financial statements
The Company’s summary consolidated financial statements derived from the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2024 comprise:

The summary consolidated financial statements do not contain all the disclosures required by IFRS Accounting Standards. Reading the summary consolidated financial statements and the auditor’s report thereon, therefore, is not a substitute for reading the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements and the auditor’s report thereon. The Company’s audited consolidated financial statements, and the summary consolidated financial statements, do not reflect the effects of events that occurred subsequent to the date of our report on the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements.
The Company’s audited consolidated financial statements and our report thereon
We expressed an unmodified audit opinion on the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements in our report dated April 4, 2025. That report also includes an Other Matter section that states that the report including the opinion has been prepared for and only for the Company in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter and that we do not, in giving the opinion, accept or assume responsibility for any other purpose or to any other person to whom this report is shown or into whose hands it may come save where expressly agreed by our prior consent in writing.
Management’s responsibility for the summary consolidated financial statements
Management is responsible for the preparation of the summary consolidated financial statements in accordance with section 39 of the Barbados Insurance Act which requires the consolidated statements of financial position and income to be prepared and published in the reporting currency of Barbados Dollars, and for properly extracting the summary consolidated financial statements from the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements of the Company and converting them from United States of America Dollars into Barbados Dollars at a fixed exchange rate of 2:1.
Auditor’s responsibility
Our responsibility is to express an opinion on whether the summary consolidated financial statements are consistent, in all material respects, with the Company’s audited consolidated financial statements based on our procedures, which were conducted in accordance with International Standard on Auditing 810 (Revised), ‘Engagements to Report on Summary Financial Statements’.
Other matter
This report, including the opinion, has been prepared for and only for the Company in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter and for no other purpose. We do not, in giving this opinion, accept or assume responsibility for any other purpose or to any other person to whom this report is shown or into whose hands it may come save where expressly agreed by our prior consent in writing.
