DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE MINISTER RESPONSIBLE FOR ROAD TRAFFIC UNDER REGULATION 88 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS, 1984

  1. These directions may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motoring Club Barbados, Inc.) Directions, 2026.
  2. The following roads will be closed during the specified periods:

On Sunday March 15, 2026

(a) Between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm in the parish of Saint John, the section of the road known as Cherry Grove Road, proceeding easterly on the said Cherry Grove Road, turning south onto Ashford Road and turning east on the Guinea Road, turning south onto Cliff Road, continuing in a southerly direction on Cliff Road, turning west onto Kendal Road, and finishing at the junction with Kendal and Featherbed roads.

On Sunday July 12, 2026

(b) Between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm in the parish of Saint Lucy, the section of the road known as Cottage Road, commencing from the junction of Cottage and Pickering Roads, proceeding south easterly on the said Cottage Road, turning east onto Alexandra and turning north on the Lamberts Road, continuing in a northerly direction on Lamberts Road, and finishing at the junction with Lamberts Road and Mount View Drive.


On Sunday October 11, 2026

(c) Between the hours of 11:00 am and 5:00 pm in the parish of Saint John, the section of road known as Malvern/Edge Cliff Road, commencing from Hothersal Road, proceeding in a westerly direction along the said Malvern/Edge Cliff Road, continuing in a northerly direction on Venture Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on Easy Hall Road, continuing in a southerly direction on Wilson Hill Road, continuing in a westerly direction on Claybury Road, proceeding in a southerly direction and finishing on Tappy Pond Road.

On Sunday November 8, 2026

(d) Between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm in the parishes of Saint Philip and Saint John, the section of road known as Fairfield Road, commencing from the junction with Fairfield and Bushy Park Road, proceeding in an easterly direction on the said Fairfield Road, continuing in a north easterly direction on the Sandford Mapps Road, proceeding in a north westerly direction pass Three Houses junction, continuing in a westerly direction on Thickets Road, continuing in a northerly direction on Supers Road, continuing westerly direction and finishing on Stewart Hill Road.


  1. Any person who contravenes these directions or fails to comply with the orders given by a member of the Barbados Police Service in uniform commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500.00 or imprisonment for a term of six (6) months.
  2. These rules do not apply to vehicles used by the Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Fire Service or any Ambulance Service.
