A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by section 11 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act, 2022, (Act 2022-18) it is provided that the Act shall come into operation on a date to be fixed by Proclamation:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Act comes into operation on the 1st day of January, 2023:

NOW THEREFORE by virtue of the power and authority in me vested, I hereby appoint the 1st day of January, 2023 as the day on which the Act shall come into operation.
