Mr. Justice Michael De La Bastide, which was held in Trinidad and Tobago. The Hon. Madam Justice Margaret Reifer, Justice of Appeal, has been granted three (3) days’ duty leave from 21st to 23rd February, 2024, to represent the Barbados Judiciary at the funeral of the Hon. Mr. Justice C. Dennis Morrison, former President of the Court of Appeal of Jamaica.
Amended Vacation Leave
The previously approved vacation leave granted to the Hon. Sir Patterson Cheltenham, K.A., Chief Justice from 15th to 29th April, 2024 has been amended to 11th to 24th April, 2024.
Cancellation and Amendment of Vacation Leave
The previously approved eleven (11) days’ vacation leave from 1st to 11th December, 2023 granted to Dr. the Hon. Mr. Justice Olson Alleyne, Judge of the High Court, has been cancelled.
Justice Alleyne has been granted forty-eight
(48) days’ vacation leave from 1st March, 2024 to 18th April, 2024.
Vacation Leave
The Hon. Mr. Justice Francis Belle, Justice of Appeal, has been granted three (3) days’ vacation leave from 26th to 29th April, 2024.

The Hon. Mr. Justice Randall Worrell, Judge of the High Court, has been granted fourteen (14) days’ vacation leave from 2nd to 15th April, 2024.
Appointment
Mr. Herbert Patrick Wells, Ph.D., Attorney-at- Law, has been appointed as a Judge of the High Court, with effect from 2nd April, 2024.
Acting Appointment
The Hon. Mr. Justice Francis Belle, Justice of Appeal, has been appointed to act as Chief Justice for the period 15th to 21st April, 2024. Ms. Liesel Weekes, Attorney-at-Law, has been appointed to act as Judge of the High Court, for a period of six (6) months, effective from 22nd April, 2024.
