NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR DECLARATION OF OWNERSHIP IN RESPECT OF LAND SITUATE AT POOL PLANTATION IN THE PARISH OF ST. JOHN IN THIS ISLAND CONTAININGBY ADMEASUREMENT 158.301 HECTARES

SUPREME COURT OF BARBADOS IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE

CLAIM NO. 0333/2011

IN THE MATTER of an Application by the Financial Services Commission for an Order that CLICO International Life Insurance Limited be placed under Judicial Management;

AND IN THE MATTER of the Insurance Act, Cap. 310

AND IN THE MATTER of the Companies Act, Cap. 308.

AND IN THE MATTER OF ALL THAT sugar plantation called Pool situate in the parish of Saint John in this Island formerly believed to contain by estimation 159.77 hectares or thereabouts be the same more or less but by survey as shown on a plan made and certified on the 19th day of November 2018 by Gregory St C. Hutchinson, Land Surveyor (“the Plan”) found to contain by admeasurement 158.301 hectares (inclusive of 2.701 hectares in road reserve) ABUTTING AND BOUNDING as a whole as shown on the Plan (but being intersected by various public roads) on lands of Peter L. St. John et ux, on lands of Hothersal Plantation, on lands of Clifton Hall Plantation, on lands of E.S. Mullin, on lands of I Howard, on lands of Jean Derrick, on lands now or formerly of Small Hope, on lands of L.E. Simpson, on lands of V. Gollop, on lands of C. Moore, on lands of A.S. Harris, on lands of P. Hayde, on lands of N.B. Johnson, on lands of W.D. Graham, on portions of a road leading to Gall Hill in one direction, on lands of the Roman Catholic Church, on lands of the Substance Abuse Foundation known as “Verdun”, on lands of Eastmont Plantation, on portions of a road leading to Highway 3B, on lands of Ian Stuart, on lands of Clarence Holdings Ltd., on lands of Charlene K. Walcott, on lands of Cephus Stuart, on lands of Cuthbert Howell, on portions of a road leading to Highway 3B in one direction and Eastmont Tenantry in another direction, on lands of Bert Gaff, on lands of Ashford Limited, on Lot 1 being lands of Ashford Tenantry, on lands of Ashford Plantation, on lands of the Crown being Bowmanston Plantation, on lands of J.O. Hinkson, on lands of Susan Barrow, on lands of Mahmud Bodhania, on lands of the Crown, on lands of the said Bowmanston Plantation, on lands of sundry small freeholders of Pool Plantation Tenantry, on portions of Highway 3B, on lands now or formerly of The Barbados Telephone Company, on portions of a road leading to Wakefield in one direction and to Todds in the other, on Lot 1 being lands now or formerly of Todds Estates Limited (Wakefield Plantation), on lands of Owen A. Mottley, on lands of David Mayers and Violet E. Small, on a road called Sherbourne No. 2 leading to Wakefield and Hothersal, on lands of Emerson D. Belgrave, on lands of Eleanor Green (deceased), on lands of
Angela E. Belgrave, on lands now or formerly of Pool Plantation, on lands of Andrew A. Howard (deceased), on lands of Priscilla Parris, on lands of Constance Ince, on lands of Hartford Bradshaw, on lands of George L. Maynard or however else the same may abut and bound as shown on the Plan Together with the buildings thereon.

TAKE NOTICE that TODDS ESTATES LIMITED (Company No. 3173) intends to apply to the High Court for a declaration of its ownership in respect of the property described above.

Any person having any adverse claim, lien or charge or right or interest against the said property should submit the claim duly authenticated on oath to the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Bridgetown on or before the 9th day of February 2021.

Any other person who has any information relating to the ownership of the said property is invited to give such information in writing to the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Bridgetown on or before the 9th day of February 2021.
