DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE MINISTER  RESPONSIBLE  FOR ROAD

TRAFFIC UNDER REGULATION 88 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS, 1984

  1. These directions may be cited as the Road Traffic (Barbados

Rally Club, “BRC King of the Hill Event”) Directions, 2025.

  • The following roads will be closed during the specified periods:

On Sunday May 25, 2025

(a)   Between the hours of   8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the   parish of Saint Thomas the section of road known as Hopewell, commencing from the junction with Hopewell Tenantry, proceeding in a southerly direction on Hopewell Tenantry Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on Hopewell Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on Hangman Hill, continuing in a northerly direction on Dukes Road, proceeding in an westerly direction along Dukes Hill onto Content Road and finishing on Content Road (100m before the entrance to Rock Hall Road).

  • Any person who contravenes these directions or fails to comply with the orders given by a member of the Barbados Police Service in uniform commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500.00 or imprisonment for a term of six (6) months.
  • These rules do not apply to vehicles used by the Barbados Police

Service, the Barbados Fire Service or any Ambulance Service.

  • The following roads will be closed during the specified periods:

On Friday May 30, 2025

  • Between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. in the parishes of Saint John and Saint George, the section of road known as Malvern/Edge Cliff Road, commencing from Hothersal Road, proceeding in a westerly direction along the said Malvern/ Edge Cliff Road, continuing in a northerly direction on Venture Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on Easy Hall Road, continuing in a southerly direction on Wilson Hill Road, continuing in a westerly then southerly direction on Claybury Road, proceeding in a southerly direction on Sweet Vale Road and finishing 200m before Sweet Vale Village.

On Saturday May 31, 2025

  • Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parish of Saint Philip, the section of the road known as Sunbury Road, proceeding in a north easterly direction on Harrow Road, continuing in a south easterly direction to the Bushy Park Triangle, continuing easterly then northerly on the Fairfield Sandford Mapps Road, proceeding in an easterly direction on Golden Grove Road, proceeding in a northerly direction and finishing on St. Catherine Road.
  • Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parishes of Saint John and Saint George, the section of the road known as Featherbed Lane/Kendal Road, proceeding in a north-easterly direction on Kendal Road, continuing in a northerly direction on Cliff Road to the junction with Guinea Road, continuing westerly on the Guinea Road, proceeding in a south-westerly direction on Kendal/Woodland Road, proceeding in a northerly direction on the Todds/Woodland Road, continuing in a westerly direction on the Todds/Ellesmere Road and finishing at the junction of Logan and St. Judes Road.

(c)  Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parishes of Saint John and Saint George, the section of road known as Sweet Vale Road, proceeding in an easterly direction along said Sweet Vale Road, continuing northerly then easterly along the Sweet Vale/Claybury Road, continuing northerly along Wilson Hill Road, proceeding in an easterly direction along Easy Hall Road, continuing southerly along Venture Road, proceeding in an easterly direction along Malvern/Edge Cliff Road and finishing 100m before Hothersal Village.

On Sunday June 1, 2025

  • Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parish of Saint Lucy, the section of the road known as Luke Hill on the Oxford/Mount Gay Road, commencing from its junction with Charles Duncan O’neal Highway, proceeding in an easterly direction on said Oxford/Mount Gay Road, continuing  in an easterly direction to Alexandra, proceeding in a westerly direction on Cottage Road, proceeding in a northerly direction on Springhall Road, continuing north-westerly on Mount Poyer/ Harris Road, proceeding northerly through Mount Poyer Road and finishing 200m south of St. Swithin’s Church.
  • Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parish of Saint Thomas the section of road known as Hopewell, commencing from the junction with Hopewell Tenantry, proceeding in a southerly direction on Hopewell Tenantry Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on Hopewell Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on Hangman Hill, continuing in a northerly direction on Dukes Road, proceeding in an westerly direction along Dukes Hill onto Content Road and finishing on Content Road (100m before the entrance to Rock Hall Road).

(c) Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parish of Saint Andrew the section of road known as Lakes Road, commencing from the junction with Farrell’s Road, proceeding in a westerly direction on said Lakes Road, continuing in a southerly direction on Highway 2, proceeding in an easterly direction along Saddleback and finishing at the junction with Upper Parks Road.

(d) Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the parishes of Saint Andrew and Saint Peter, the section of road known as Walkers, commencing from its junction with Sedge Pond, proceeding in a westerly direction along said Walkers Road, continuing in a southerly direction along Turners Hall/Swanns Road, continuing in a westerly direction on Rock Hall Road, proceeding in a northerly then westerly direction along Black Bess Road and finishing 200m before Black Bess Village.
