NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 31 of the Trustee Act, Cap. 250 of the Laws of Barbados, that all persons having any debts, claims or demands upon or against the Estate of ANGELA YOLANDA DOWRIDGE-BROWNE also known as ANGELA YOLANDE DOWRIDGE-BROWNE also

known as ANGELA DOWRIDGE-BROWNE late of 69 Kingsland Terrace North, Kingsland in the parish of Christ Church in Barbados who died at Coverley Medical Centre, Coverley in the parish of Christ Church in Barbados on the 14th day of July 2019 are hereby required to send particulars in writing of his or her debts or claims to ROMELLE VALENCE DOWRIDGE the Executor of the said Estate C/o Clarke Gittens Farmer, Attorneys-at-Law, “Parker House”, Wildey Business Park, Wildey Road in the parish of St. Michael in Barbados on or before the 14th day of February, 2022 after which date the Executor will proceed to distribute the assets of the said deceased having regard only to the valid claims and demands of which he shall then have had notice and will not in respect of the property so distributed be liable to any person of whose claim he shall not then have had notice.

AND all persons indebted to the said Estate are requested to settle their indebtedness without delay.

IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that, pursuant to sections 8(1) and 10B of the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2019-34, the Defendant is a listed person for the purposes of the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2019-34 since on the 23rd day of November 2021 he was added to the United Nations Security Council Sanctions List concerning ISIL (DA’ESH) and Al-Qaida.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that:

  1. Service of this Order be dispensed with;
  2. Restraining Order is granted pursuant to section 8(3)(a) of the Act to freeze any:
    1. Property of the Defendant; ii. property that is wholly or jointly owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by the Defendant; iii. property that is derived or generated from other property owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by the Defendant; iv. property of a person acting on behalf of, or at the direction of, the Defendant,
  3. The Defendant or any person affected hereby may within 60 days of the making of the Order, appeal to the Court of Appeal against the decision of the Judge and shall give the Director of Public Prosecutions at least 14 days’ notice of the application;
  4. The Registrar of the Supreme Court do serve an Office Copy of the Order on the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) immediately;
  5. Pursuant to section 10(1) of the Act, the Director of Public Prosecutions shall cause notice of this Order to be published
    1. immediately published electronically
    2. to be published in the Official Gazette as soon as possible and
    3. to be published in at least two (2) daily newspapers in circulation in Barbados, as soon as possible.
  6. Liberty to apply;
  7. Costs to be costs in the cause; and
  8. Such other Orders as this Honourable Court shall deem fit Dated this 26th day of November 2021.
